AutPlay® Therapy is a therapeutic approach incorporating play therapy techniques and behavioral interventions specifically designed for children and adolescents diagnosed with Autism Spectrum Disorder, Attention-Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder, and other neurodivergent disorders. In addition to individual therapy with the child, the therapist works with caregivers and other family members as co-change agents to implement directive play techniques learned during therapy into the home between sessions. AutPlay® Therapy integrates psychological/counseling theory, models of play therapy, and relationship development approaches together in a collaborative protocol to assist children and adolescents to address mental health struggles and gain skills in emotion regulation, socialization, and connection with others.
